Finding Faith

What are you searching for?  What is the purpose of your life?  How will you handle the really tough times?  Where will you spend eternity?  Hard questions don't have easy answers, but they do have an answer!  That answer is ultimately found in the God who created the universe and loves you unconditionally.  How do you find that God?  How do you reach Him?  This is the good news: God has come looking for you!  He is reaching out to you.  Saying "yes" to God begins with your desire to respond to His gracious gift of Jesus Christ.   Discover for yourself, life the way it was meant to be.  You can receive God's free gift today!  Here are some ways to help you do just that:

AdmitRomans 3:10; Romans 3:23

  • Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior.
  • Admit that you need a right relationship with God.

Pride keeps us from doing some of the most important things in life.  Don't let your pride keep you from the most important thing in this life and the next!

Believe - John 3:36; Ephesians 2:8-9

  • Believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that He makes it possible for you to have a right relationship with God.
  • Believe that God did it all for you by providing Jesus Christ as payment for your sin.

There is nothing you can do, no matter how good or great, to ever restore your relationship with God.

Choose - John 3:16-17; Psalm 119:77

  • Choose to accept God's free gift of salvation.
  • Choose to follow His plan for your life.

Every one of us chooses to live our lives like we want to, taking charge, ignoring God, pleasing ourselves.  That's what separates us from God. That's why we need His forgiveness.

Dedicate - Luke 9:23; I Peter 2:1-3

  • Dedicate yourself as a fully devoted follower of Christ.

Receiving God's gift of forgiveness through Jesus Christ will set you in a direction exactly opposite of the one you've been going in because now you're following Christ.

Express - Romans 10:9-13

·         Express your faith in Christ to God.

·         Express your faith in Christ publicly.

What God has done for you in His Son Jesus Christ, is the greatest thing that will ever happen to you. It requires a clear confession that you agree with God.  If you agree with God, you can express your faith in what He has provided on your behalf with a simple prayer like this one.  Please understand that it is not your prayer that saves you, but the faith you are expressing to Him:

Dear God, I know that I am sinner and I recognize that you are the one true God who is holy and righteous, without sin.  I recognize that your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross to pay for my sins.  Through his shed blood on the cross of Calvary, by faith, I trust you as my Savior.  I want to live my life to please you.  Help me to do so.  Thank you for releasing me from the power of sin and death.  Amen!
